I have the exact same problem with an HP Scanlite Pro 3500 f1 using the ESCL driver. In 300 dpi the scan is quick and accurate, but if I increase resolution (if only to 400 dpi) the device seems to operate in another mode (perhaps 600 or 1200 dpi that is down-sampled in SW?) and when scanning completes the "Invalid argument" error shows.
I have tried to scan using xsane but it crashes (also in 300 dpi) instead of showing an error. I can do a 75 dpi preview scan here though. (I have also tried to scan using stock Ubuntu 20.04 from a live image and and the Kubuntu live image as well, but I'm not able to get it to work.) If I find the time I will try to catch some logs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1886670 Title: Error when scanning with higher resolution then 300 DPI - Pixma TS6052 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skanlite/+bug/1886670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
