Fresh intallation of Ubuntu 20.04 on a Dell AIO Inspiron 7777 alwys ends
up with:

ubuntu grub-installer: error: Running 'grub-install  --force
"/dev/nvme0n1"' failed.

Older Ubuntu versions never had this problem.
