@Califa, I am sorry to hear for you bad experience. @Kai-Heng, OK so I don't think I have the proper know-how to successfully set up the systemd oneshot service. However, the best solution I currently have set up is a keyboard shortcut that runs a bash script that resets the touchpad on demand whenever it may fail again in the future.
