Brian Thanks for getting back to me. My netgear card failed recently so I took the opportunity to replace it with a Belkin card. This works fine so this is no longer an issue for me.
The netgear card was only bought in April so I was quite surprised when it failed after a few months. This leaves open the possibility that there may have been an underlying hardware problem that caused my problems......? I'm a bit sceptical about this as other people seemed to be having similar problems. If other people are still experiencing problems then presumably they will have raised their own bug-reports. However, as I no longer have the hardware to reproduce the fault I think you can safely close this bug-report.
