Actually another scenario which is even worse now that I have experienced again today, is copy/paste is broken within libreoffice, on a VM. It gets to the point libreoffice hangs completely, and then the VM itself. Eventually the VM logs me right off. Logging back on, and launching libreoffice, all is well. In this scenario, best to have done prior saves in libreoffice. Never do the doc recovery.
I believe this broken scenario is actually triggered by having tried to do copy/pastes from firefox on another VM to this VM. After this the instance on libreoffice is somewhat broken, progressing to the hang.
