Public bug reported: [Impact]
* UC20 displays consoleconf during installation. But it should not be shown. This is because the device is booted into ephemeral mode, and will be rebooted loosing any consoleconf configuration. [Test Case] * Build new core20 snap with new consoleconf package * Build new uc20 image with said core20 snap * Boot it, and observe that no consoleconf is shown during install * Observe that after reboot, consoleconf is shown. [Regression Potential] * Small change to the consoleconf wrapper script, which is only used on core systems / gettys, and otherwise is coded safely (traps any errors and restarts). [Other Info] * This change is merged into subiquity master & uploaded to groovy. ** Affects: subiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Committed ** Affects: subiquity (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: Triaged ** Affects: subiquity (Ubuntu Groovy) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Committed ** Tags: core20 ** Also affects: subiquity (Ubuntu Groovy) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: subiquity (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: subiquity (Ubuntu Groovy) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: subiquity (Ubuntu Focal) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1877111 Title: disable consoleconf during UC20 install mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subiquity/+bug/1877111/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
