Yes, I can confirm this still applies for me. I get the file downloaded,
not saved.

Safari 2.0.4 now (v419.3)

I've attached the file which downloads, in case it contains a clue ...
but it looks like normal XHTML to me.

I haven't seen this on any other sites. Suspect it's a header trickery.
(I don't know of a Safari equivalent to LiveHTTPHeaders, but if there is
one I can check it out for you.)
