No problems on 19.10
Upon upgrade to 20.04:-

Two drivers offered (obsolete??), one for colour which does not bring up
Xsane, the other escl greyscale which crashes at end of scan.

In 19.10 only the colour/greyscale driver was used and did not need
selection.
