Public bug reported: On Lubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa, Update Notifier shows multiple dialogs after logout and login to new sessions. For example, when I log in to the system third times, it shows three dialogs.
It seems that /etc/xdg/autostart/upg-notifier-autostart.desktop starts notifier on user login but does not stop on logout. $ pgrep -af update-notifier 2009 /bin/sh /usr/lib/lubuntu-update-notifier/lubuntu-upg-notifier.sh 6319 /bin/sh /usr/lib/lubuntu-update-notifier/lubuntu-upg-notifier.sh 7499 /bin/sh /usr/lib/lubuntu-update-notifier/lubuntu-upg-notifier.sh ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: lubuntu-update-notifier 0.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-28.32-generic 5.4.30 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-28-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: LXQt Date: Fri May 1 11:33:07 2020 InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-10-30 (548 days ago) InstallationMedia: Lubuntu 18.10 "Cosmic Cuttlefish" - Release amd64 (20181017.2) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: lubuntu-update-notifier UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to focal on 2020-04-28 (2 days ago) ** Affects: lubuntu-update-notifier (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876223 Title: Update notifier shows dialogs as many as previous login sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lubuntu-update-notifier/+bug/1876223/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
