Hi all, I resolved my problem thanks to this solution: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/06/fix-no-sound-dummy-output-issue- in.html .
I followed these instructions: 1. Edit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf as root and add options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0 2. Edit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf as root and add blacklist snd_soc_skl at the end of the file 3. After making these changes, reboot your system. Tested with 5.3.0-45-generic kernel. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868085 Title: Bug related to the new kernel version 5.3.0-42-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1868085/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
