Public bug reported: Ubuntu 20.04 beta (2020-03-31) install process crashes in grub-install step. It may be UEFI boot related issue, because Ubuntu live USB was started in UEFI mode, but hard disk contained Windows 7 OS installed in BIOS mode and there is no ESP partition on hard disk. I've selected advanced mode and choosed XFS file system for root. I think Ubiquity should work correctly in such situation and simply install correct GRUB version - GRUB-EFI if there is an ESP partition and GRUB-PC if there are no ESP partition.
