So, I've upgraded my main OS (Xubuntu 18.04) to 5.3.0-42-generic, and now, it's partially suffering from the mute-toggle issue. The computer mutes or unmutes whenever something happens that produces sound (e.g., when a messenger app gives a notification, when I pause/play a video, etc), and it gives that sound through the speakers when it does (as I've recorded in the video, linked in the first post). Is there anything else I can test and/or try for you guys to gather more information?
