The workaround I now use is to modify the cp -a command in /etc/ppp/ip- up.d/0000usepeerdns to look like this:
cp -a "$REALRESOLVCONF" "$REALRESOLVCONF.pppd-backup.$PPP_IFACE" || { rm -f "$REALRESOLVCONF.pppd-backup.$PPP_IFACE" "$REALRESOLVCONF.tmp" exit 1 } -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1778946 Title: No dns resolution after closing a vpn/pptp connection To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppp/+bug/1778946/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
