So, your system is very, very old. I know because I have the same laptop (or at least same generation). On top of that, you are running a very old, outdated version of Ubuntu. Granted, I know it's LTS End-of-Life date is not until 2021 (if I am not mistaken), it's very old. You should really update your system. Intel support is generally very good, and as Wine gets update, so does the Linux graphics stack. In the interim, you can attempt to use a PPA to upgrade your graphics stack or perhaps configure your wineprefix to use a virtual desktop.I am putting my money on your system just being really old, and your configuration (kernel, graphics stack, etc) being old as well as the trouble. Please attempt to upgrade your system and see if that helps,
