Public bug reported: I have no idea how this package ended up in Ubuntu.
It was never in Debian. It is dead upstream, although there was 1.2.4 release like 4 years ago, it still doesn't work with any recent boost, ffmpeg or scons. I no longer wish to maintain it, and neither should anyone else in Ubuntu Foundations team. If you read the changelogs you will observe how we continsiously did QA uploads of this package to keep it going, simply because it was easier to spend engineering work doing that, instead of getting an RM accept. But no more! I request and require for bombono-dvd to be removed from Ubuntu. Also, what is a DVD? Is it like netflix for the record players? ** Affects: bombono-dvd (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Triaged ** Changed in: bombono-dvd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: bombono-dvd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1863185 Title: RM RoM bombono-dvd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bombono-dvd/+bug/1863185/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
