Calling this low because the annotations *are* present, despite the
weirdness in display. You can save the file and they'll be there. Also,
re: weirdness, my initial arrow showed fine. It only disappeared when
going original size.

I don't think further testing on this is needed until the upstream bug
is resolved. On that subject, it seems the opinion is that annotations
were an accidential feature ("lximage-qt is an image viewer, not an
image editor") and the plan is to hide them by default with hope that
maybe someday they might get fixed (which is to say they probably won't
very quickly). So I changed my mind: wishlist.
