I just installed Ubuntu 18.04 in a new Hyper-V VM (host is Windows 10 Pro). Fresh virtual disk (25 GB), 2 virtual CPUs, 4 GB RAM. I used the ISO file to boot and install. The installation went fine until the forced reboot at the end of the installation. After the reboot a lot of these "SQUASHFS error: ..." messages appear:
- SQUASHFS error: Unable to read metadata cache entry [...] - SQUASHFS error: read_indexes: reading block [...:...] And at the end the screen is stuck as can be seen in the attached screenshot. ** Attachment added: "2020-01-15 ubuntu vm.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/172937/+attachment/5320576/+files/2020-01-15%20ubuntu%20vm.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172937 Title: SQUASHFS error while booting from live cd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/172937/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
