This time it got corrupted while I had paused an .avi file. Here's the
.xsession-errors file. The X Ubuntu debuggers book doesn't have
instructions what to do in the case of corruption of video playback.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Debugging . Please add that info. so I can
test it.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

I just been doing the updates, from the last couple of updates, the
monitor randomly stops working. I have put power management at 12 mins,
I am also using BOINC Manager to do some crunching but don't think it
affects in some manner. While working the monitor stops responding &
even trying to cycle through alternate consoles doesn't get me anywhere.
Would be attaching my Xorg logs maybe that might give you some
- indication as well as my conf file.
+ indication as well as my conf file. screen display gets corrupted/locked
+ up while viewing a video file .
