Public bug reported: Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 18.04 on an Asus K61IC (GeForce 9600M GT) with latest BIOS. When using nouveau driver, computer does not power off: services and hard drives are stopped, but fan and screen remain on. I have tried several kernel parameters with no luck: acpi=force, acpi=noirq, apm=power_off, nouveau.vram_pushbuf=1. However, it works properly when using Nvidia driver (340.107-0ubuntu0.18.04.4). Do not hesitate to ask if you need more information.
