Public bug reported: Ubuntu 19.10 nautilus version: 1:3.34.1-1ubuntu1
Upon pressing F2 to rename a file, if delete one of the characters and replace it with the same character, but a different case, and you click rename, the changes should save. Instead they get discarded E.g. renaming foo.c -> Foo.c keeps it as foo.c instead of renaming it to Foo.c ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.10 Package: nautilus 1:3.34.1-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.3.0-24.26-generic 5.3.10 Uname: Linux 5.3.0-24-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu8.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sun Dec 8 11:16:24 2019 GsettingsChanges: b'org.gnome.nautilus.window-state' b'sidebar-width' b'187' b'org.gnome.nautilus.window-state' b'initial-size' b'(655, 700)' b'org.gnome.nautilus.window-state' b'maximized' b'true' InstallationDate: Installed on 2019-10-30 (38 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 19.04 "Disco Dingo" - Release amd64 (20190416) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_ZA:en PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_ZA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) usr_lib_nautilus: ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug eoan -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1855576 Title: Changing character case when renaming doesn't persist To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1855576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
