Here are the steps I took to recreate the issue. This time though, my
system did not fully crash (no ctrl+alt+del necessary)

* opened lid
* unplugged from dock
* shut down
* powered on
* unlocked disk
* signed in
* plugged into dock
* external display turned on, became primary
* moved mouse
****** got signed out after 30s or so ******
* both laptop and external display were active, laptop as primary
* signed in again
* dumped journal
* closed lid
* external became primary

** Attachment added: "journal.log"
