Here's the main bug report I was thinking about: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1841040
The kernel module is 'r8169'. Brian perhaps you could do an 'lsmod | grep r8169' to see if that module is loaded for you as well? If it is, perhaps you could try to blacklist the module by adding 'r8169' to the end of your '/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf' file and rebooting? Of course if you're using a wired connection this would cause problems, but if you're like me and are using a wireless connection, perhaps this will solve the issue? It seems like that ethernet card is notoriously buggy. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1849720 Title: Running VM with Virtual NIC Crashes Host OS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1849720/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
