Hi! I had the same bug and it seems to be resoved for me now! I did two things and I can't tell wich one was the good one:
Firstly, on my desktop computer I re-enabled gnome-power-manager. Secondly, I changed my /etc/hosts file by adding my hostname in the 127.0.0.1 line. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=388765 Can someone confirm this?
