Confirmed here too: using Xubuntu live CD installer. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Xubuntu Live CD. 2. Run installer. 3. When the time-admin step is reached (where time zone &c. is configured), select: 'Periodically synchronise clock with Internet servers'. 4. This will prompt to install NTP. 5. Attempt to install NTP, see error message described above.
Recieved exactly the same errors, following the steps Nirvana posted fixes the problem (thankfully).
