After having the kernel side of things discussed with the kernel team, the affecting kernel entry will be marked as 'Won't Fix' for now, too - since the overall feature and function is not yet completely upstream and the importance is low anyway. Once the kernel side of the feature got upstream accepted, it will then automatically land in a future Ubuntu kernel.
