hi all, I added a truecrypt ext3 partition to my recently-purchased Seagate FreeAgent Go 160GB external disk. The driver was ntfs pre-formatted and auto mount worked with no probs. unmounting was not really possible as the drive was remounted a few seconds after unmounting (klick, no console).
So I searched arround and found this bug. To help out I followed this (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingRemovableDevices) guide to give some logs who might help. my system is 7.04, running 2.6.20-16 kernel and 99.9% updated id uid=1000(seb) gid=1000(seb) groups=4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),104(scanner),112(netdev),113(lpadmin),115(powerdev),117(admin),1000(seb) :~$ id hal id: hal: No such user :~$ id haldaemon uid=107(haldaemon) gid=114(haldaemon) groups=114(haldaemon),24(cdrom),25(floppy),46(plugdev),115(powerdev) ** Attachment added: "as per DebuggingRemovableDevices" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10512290/dmesg.txt -- USB mass storage stops working after a while https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/61235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
