Upped to 192GB this has: #1: 75 seconds #2: 5 seconds #3: 23 seconds As a note, in this case I checked there are ~7 seconds before it does into this "single thread, kernel busy" load. Those 7 seconds might be other/usual init in qemu/kvm while the long load is the Just the linear scaling is what breaks it, in case the same speed applies 10 times as much +1.28TB would be in the 10 minutes as well.
