"Xorg on Wayland" (Xwayland) isn't like virtualization. It's the same source code as Xorg. And the "Wayland" part is the same source code of gnome-shell you're already using.
I don't think you would find any problems with "CPU cycles and energy power". At least no more than it already uses. Yes, I would expect your hardware to work with Wayland. Just try selecting "Ubuntu on Wayland" from the login screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1839097 Title: [ 54.401642] [drm:radeon_atom_pick_dig_encoder [radeon]] *ERROR* chosen encoder in use 0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1839097/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
