This also affects rkward (R package installation dialog), and probably a number of further apps. The -t option is important for applications that need to run some commands with admin privileges, but also use/show the output.
If kdesu is to be replaced by kdesudo (*), this option should be implemented. Other apps rely on it. ------------- (*): I do wonder, why, a little, since the foundation of kdesu (http://api.kde.org/4.0-api/kdelibs-apidocs/kdesu/html/classKDESu_1_1SuProcess.html) seems to be designed to support sudo, and kdesu itself has some relevant bits, too (http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/runtime/kdesu/kdesu/sudlg.cpp?revision=736838&view=markup). Whether that is broken or not, I don't know, but can't this be fixed in kdesu itself? Well, I guess you'll have your reasons. ** Also affects: rkward (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kdesu: Unknown option '-t'. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158672 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
