Thank you for your comments and helping to make Ubuntu better.  Please
note that if the -generic kernel works for you and the -386 kernel
doesn't, please just use the -generic kernel.  You can even feel free to
uninstall the -386 version if you're not using it.  The difference
between the -386 and -generic kernel flavors are basically different
kernel config options being flipped on/off.  For example, the -386
flavor disables SMP support while the -generic flavor enables it.  For
now I'm going to close this report as it seems that there aren't issues
when using the -generic kernel (according to the original report).  If
any of you still encounter any problems using the most recent 2.6.22-14
kernel that was shipped with the 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon release, please feel
free to open a new bug report describing your issue.  Thanks so much for
your feedback, we really do appreciate it.
