Confirming, I was able to trivially repro. Selecting the "Report a Bug ..." item on the Help menu causes Firefox to display a "collecting problem information ..." dialog for longer than I liked, then open a new window (seems to me like a new Firefox instance, even!) with the "Problem loading page" error message and the URL file:///home/era/%22https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+filebug/lZegKa5BypJ6QLwTkrjCGRlUoco?%22 in the location box.
The instance on pts/0 is where I'm writing this, and where I selected the "Report a Bug ..." menu item. The one without a controlling terminal is a second instance, clearly started by the bug reporter. It's running on a non-default profile (latest non-default profile which I quit from while confirming repro steps for LP bug #163656, ironically): vnix$ ps wallx | fgrep firefox 0 1000 5753 5447 15 0 249240 87396 - Sl pts/0 7:25 /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin 0 1000 10376 1 15 0 145216 43432 - Ssl ? 0:09 /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin "https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+filebug/lZegKa5BypJ6QLwTkrjCGRlUoco?" -a firefox ** Summary changed: - Report a Bug Error + "Report a Bug ..." attempts to go to invalid URL ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- "Report a Bug ..." attempts to go to invalid URL https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108476 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
