OP had also tested this with linux-image-generic-hwe-18.04 / linux-
image-4.18.0-20-generic, where dmesg looked very similar to that of this
hwe-18.04-edge kernel.

Gabriele:

(1) Please do as discussed in comment 2.

(2) Please also re-run alsa-info as discussed at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo and attach the output as a file
to this bug report.

(3) These commands (3 lines total) would create an ALSA profile for your
hardware, and may provide audio after rebooting:

sudo mkdir -p /usr/share/alsa/ucm/bytcr-rt5651 && \
wget -qO-
'https://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-lib.git;a=blob_plain;f=src/conf/ucm/bytcr-rt5651/bytcr-rt5651.conf'
 | sudo tee /usr/share/alsa/ucm/bytcr-rt5651/bytcr-rt5651.conf >/dev/null && \
wget -qO-
https://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-lib.git;a=blob_plain;f=src/conf/ucm/bytcr-rt5651/HiFi.conf
 | sudo tee /usr/share/alsa/ucm/bytcr-rt5651/HiFi.conf >/dev/null

To undo these changes, please run this command:
sudo rm -r /usr/share/alsa/ucm/bytcr-rt5651

Please report back whether this helped. If so, please repeat (1) and
(2).
