Public bug reported:

I don't know if all of the following steps are required to duplicate the
bug, but it's what I do.

I created a rectangle object. Gave it a flat color. Then I duplicated
it... at least several times. I dragged them to a new position and
changed the color. Dragged it again. Changed flat to gradient and/or
radial. Dragged it again.

At some point among all this duplication, dragging and coloring, the
colors do weird things, mostly losing the color rendering the object
invisible; sometimes it just changes to a random color or black. If I
click on it and change the radial to gradient and back again, all is
well as long as I don't move the object. If I change it to flat I get
random other colors.

Note, I'm using both the area inside the boundary lines of wht I guess
is the drawing area?, as well as outside. Not sure if I'm supposed to
be on the outside but I am.
