I have to add to this, however i dont know if its related but it seems
to be the same problem..

I am running Ubuntu Dapper on an IBM Thinkpad T30 with an ATI Radeon 7500
Mobility
I am using the X.org "ati" driver..

I can very rarely go more then 2 hours without a total system freeze, no
input, complete lock up of the system and the only option i have left is
to literally hit the power button.

It happens in X regardless of what i am doing, but it only happens when
X.org is running ie everything is fine if kill X and just run a console.

i tried the above suggestion
Option "DynamicClocks" "true"
Option "AccelMethod" "EXA"
Option "DMAForXv" "off"
Option "SubPixelOrder" "None"
Option "BusType" "AGP"
etc...

but it doesnt seem to change anything, help us, Dapper is unusable on my
laptop without a fix for this.
