Public bug reported: Recently, I saw that there were some updates available in the Adept Notifier, so I clicked on it, and tried to install them. I left the computer to do something, and when I came back, I saw an error dialog with the message "There was an error committing changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages."
Since aptitude downloads the packages first, and installs them before, this is the same as "something happened", and does not really localize the problem. It would be at least nice to know which was the problem of the two alternatives listed in the second sentence. But I guess it would help more if the message described what the problem was in more detail, so that I know what to do after it. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Uninformative Adept dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163260 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
