- The Minimal Install contains the same packages as the full (standard)
- install on the live 18.04 installer. This also revealed some additional
- steps we should take to be sure everything is properly implemented:
+ For 18.04, Ubuntu introduced a new option for a "minimal install" in
ubiquity. We did not have our seeds set up correctly for this and so it doesn't
function correctly. However, this was overlooked until after release and we
have long offered a minimal installation option:

+ so we left well enough alone. (Note: Xubuntu didn't offer it intentionally
and they offer a similar minimal option)

instructions actually work
- - [ ] update the seed so that it's complete and consistent with the Desktop

offer this option either. There's some potential of adding this as a feature,
