I think this regresses tomcat in some ways as for example outlined by a reporter that tested -proposed in bug 1819721.
I wonder if the switch to the systemd service is strictly needed for the overall target of using JDK11. I read above that this is only going to the security pocket, but wouldn't an SRU template especially outlining and discussing the regression risks and why they are acceptable make sense? I'm flagging as regression-proposed to make clear what https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat8/+bug/1819721/comments/2 is until fixed or sorted out by discussion. ** Tags added: regression-proposed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1817567 Title: backport tomcat & dependencies for OpenJDK 11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat9/+bug/1817567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
