Cant test the upstream kernel, sorry but using the ppa installation from Hauppauge it got
the kernel to recognize the card along with ?dev/video0,1,and 2 Video1 is null while 0 is my camera and 2 is the tv but it worked with 4.15.0-46 (it created its own kernel to boot on) but would not work on kernel 4.18.0-16 here is the instructions I got to make it operate PPA installation instructions for TV tuner driver on Ubuntu Open Terminal in Ubuntu The easiest way to open terminal is to right click on desktop and select Open Terminal.
