The sbackup package is no longer provided in recent versions of Ubuntu. If
you're still having this problem with supported LTS releases, please post back
here.
This sounds like an interesting setup that sbackup has probably never accounted
for. I'll make the bug public in case anybody can comment on it before it
expires (I don't see any sensitive content).
