I'd like to note that this seems to be a problem with the KDE OpenOffice package, as I have precisely the same problem when I use Gutsy and when I use OpenSUSE 10.3. However, the problem DOES NOT exist in OpenOffice as installed from the OpenOffice website.
With Gusty, I removed the distro OpenOffice packages and then installed directly from OpenOffice. However, this was a short-term solution, as Gutsy insisted in re-installing the distro version during updates. Similarly, OpenSUSE 10.3 will not install the KDE desktop without also installing the KDE OpenOffice version as well. My present workaround is to install a SECOND version of OpenOffice, this one from the OpenOffice website. I have to then re-associate files with the second version and just leave the distro version taking up space on my drive. The problem has persisted through several OpenOffice/KDE revisions. I attempted to make a but report to KDE, but I could not figure out the bug reporting process at KDE. I hope this will assist in the troubleshooting problem. It's very annoying for me because "input fields" are essential to my normal document templates. -- crash when editing a input field https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/76513 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
