 # Keep snd-usb-audio from beeing loaded as first soundcard
 options snd-usb-audio index=-2
+options snd-hda-intel position_fix=2

but I don't know if that's relevant to this bug. In case it is then
please try commenting out the line:

  options snd-hda-intel position_fix=2

by changing it to:

  #options snd-hda-intel position_fix=2

and reboot.

As for testing other flavours, that's not the same as testing other
versions. Please follow the links in comment #3, boot each of the live
sessions and tell us if they exhibit the same bug.
