Still seeing the same behaviour in Gutsy, like I did in Feisty and Edgy. I first noticed the problem after upgrading from Dapper to Edgy. I also tried building and installing the module myself from the debian madwifi source package using module-assistant. No improvement. I have two other computers where the madwifi driver works flawlessly - one with a D-link PC card and a HP nw8000 with built-in wi-fi.
