Brian, my current version of openoffice.org come with Gutsy as an upgrade obtained by update-manager .
With synaptic i see: package: openoffice.org installed version: 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.1 last version: 1.2.3.0-1ubuntu5.1 in openoffice --> Help -> About OpenOffice.org, i see: OpenOffice.org 2.3.0 Copyright 2000-2007 Sun Microsystems Inc. This product has been created by Debian and Ubuntu based in OpenOffice.org.
