Public bug reported:

vboxnet0 was available on the list of interfaces in previous sessions,
now it is missing even when a VirtualBox VM is running. Refreshing with
F5 has no effect.

ifconfig has vboxnet0 listed.

User is a member of wireshark group

I think a system update or update to VirtualBox 5.2.18 may have changed
something that caused this.
