I upgraded to ubuntu 18.10 last night, and I had this problem all over
again.

Grub with noresume doesn't work
RESUME=none doesn't work
RESUME=/dev/mapper/ubuntu-root doesn't work
RESUME=/dev/mapper/ubuntu-swap doesn't work

changing /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume to none or to any lvm volume
doesn't work.

I always have the lvmetad can't connect, and then the kernel tries to find DHCP
leases (now I actually have messages about it unlike 18.04).
After a looooonnng while it ends up booting.

Is there any way I can do a grub boot to stop trying to boot from the
network?
