I have uploaded to https://launchpad.net/~alfonsosanchezbeato/+archive/ubuntu/initramfs- packages/+packages version 0.2 of initramfs-tools-ubuntu-core, which resolves the issues that you mention (except not having added much more headers to debian/copyright, as I do not think the missing ones really apply).
