Ubuntu 7.10 / OpenOffice 2.3
Reproduct (always):

1. Create a new OpenOffice document
2. Add non-ASCII characters (e.g. Scandinavian ä or ö) to filename.
3. Double click the file

Expected the result:

The file is opened in OpenOffice

Actual result:

An error dialog in OO.org:

/home/moo/fileöäå.odf cannot be opened

Workaround:

1. Rename all your files, use US English only

2. Use OpenOffice Open file dialog
