Public bug reported:

Something keeps triggering the login, as if the mouse is moved or
keyboard pressed. This results in screens never going into standby, and
the login prompt always being up, so screensaver animations mostly don't
continue.

This has persisted across multiple Ubuntu versions and upgrades, and
does not appear to stop when USB devices are unplugged.

Ubuntu 18.10 currently

Latest version from main repos

I expect it to stop prompting for login and play the screensaver
animations, and eventually put the monitors into standby.
