Public bug reported:

If the 'Activities Overview Hot Corner is disabled (gnome-tweaks -> Top
Bar -> Activities Overview Hot Corner -> Off), the Applications Menu
extension no longer works. I.e., clicking on 'Applications' doesn't do
anything.

It seems apps-menu relies on this._button.hotCorner which is undefined
if the Hot Corner is disabled: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-
shell-extensions/issues/118

** Affects: gnome-shell-extensions (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
