My workaround on Kubuntu 18.04 (bionic): Trying to remove "breeze" failed, telling me that "kubuntu-desktop", "plasma-desktop", and "plasma-integration breeze" depend on it. So I first remove "breeze", forcing it to ignore these dependencies:
# dpkg -r --ignore-depends=kubuntu-desktop,plasma-desktop,plasma- integration breeze (I'm not sure whether I also removed "plasma-look-and-feel-org-kde-breezedark-desktop" in the same way. I think I didn't.) Then I reinstall the two packages: # apt --fix-broken install plasma-look-and-feel-org-kde-breezedark-desktop # apt --fix-broken install breeze Then, again I start a regular system update. This installs the other 1000+ updates. # apt update # apt dist-upgrade # apt clean # apt autoclean # apt autoremove --purge Hope this helps. (And hope it doesn't keep the Ubuntu folks from fixing it.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to breeze in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799010 Title: SRU - missing breaks/replaces for Bionic -> Cosmic upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/breeze/+bug/1799010/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
